With Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club (NCYC) as the Organising Authority, the offshore component of the SailFest Newcastle Regatta will include IRC and PHS handicapping for a wide range of entries over the weekend of 10-11 April.
Category 4 safety gear is a prerequisite and each participating yacht must maintain an accurate Crew List within the Topyacht Entry System.
Registration will be open from 9am on 10th April at NCYC (95 Hannell Street, Wickham) ahead of a Competitors Briefing at 9.30am which will be broadcast on SailFest Newcastle’s Facebook Live.
The warning signal sounds at 12.25pm for a Passage Race. On returning to the NCYC marina, each entry will receive a carton of Heineken beer for an impromptu dock party.
Sunday, 11 April, will have the first warning signal at 10.25 ahead of 3 x windward-leeward races.
As part of COVIDSafe planning to limit attendance numbers, only prize-winners will be invited to the presentation ceremony. It will be broadcast on Facebook Live.
Sailing Instructions will be available on the club website by 1200 hrs Monday 5th April 2021.
